Remove Midjourney Metadata & Job IDs from Images

Midjourney embeds the prompt, job ID and model version in the images it produces. Remove those markers so a shared image no longer points back to your account or prompt.

How It Works

  1. 1

Drop a Midjourney PNG or WebP; the parser scans XMP and text chunks for job markers.

  2. 2

The inspector shows the prompt, job ID and model version fields it finds.

  3. 3

AI metadata is pre-selected so the Midjourney fields are removed.

  4. 4

Clean and download an image with no prompt or job ID attached.

Frequently Asked Questions

What metadata does Midjourney add?

It writes the prompt, a unique job ID, the model version and upscale or variation flags, usually into the XMP packet of the downloaded image.

Can a job ID be traced back to me?

A job ID identifies the generation request in Midjourney's system. Removing it prevents the image from being linked to that request and account.

Does this remove the visible watermark?

No. This tool removes embedded metadata only. Visible watermarks are part of the image pixels and are not touched.
