Android cameras tag photos with GPS coordinates and device details. Remove the location block so a shared picture cannot reveal your home, workplace or travel route.

How It Works

  1. 1

Drop an Android photo exported as JPEG, PNG or WebP.

  2. 2

The parser decodes the GPS IFD and the device Make/Model tags.

  3. 3

GPS and device metadata are pre-selected so location and hardware details are removed.

  4. 4

Clean and download a copy with no coordinates left in the file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do Android photos have location data?

The Camera app writes GPS coordinates into the EXIF block when location tagging is enabled, which is the default on most Android devices.

Does removing GPS affect the photo quality?

No. Only the metadata tags are rewritten; the compressed image data is copied verbatim.

Can I keep the timestamp but remove location?

Yes. This route selects GPS and device only, so timestamps are preserved unless you check that category too.
